PADI Asia Pacific and PADI Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Defaults to eCard
It is every diver’s longing to see and receive his or her PADI Open Water Diver certification card. For most of us, the process used to take 4-6 weeks, depending on how efficient your government’s postal system is.
For us at Dive Funatics, we make it a point to remind our students to send us an email if they haven’t received their physical cards in 6 weeks so we can send in a request for PADI to resend a new one. Usually it means they’ve been lost in transit so PADI will not hesitate to reprint and send out a new one.
Starting 16th of April 2020, PADI Asia Pacific and EMEA will move forward with issuing eCards. What does this mean for you? If you are living in the region being serviced by the Asia Pacific and EMEA offices, you will be getting a FREE eCard instantly for all PADI courses you take moving forward. The eCard used to be a premium paid service. If you would want to have a physical card, you can still order one online. PADI will print one and send it out to you. The new plastic cards are made from 70% recycled plastic. That’s double yay for the environment!
