What to learn
TThis program will hone and mold you to be a dive leader, a pillar in the diving industry.  Through knowledge development sessions, waterskills exercises and workshops, and hands-on practical assessment, you develop the skills to organize and direct courses and variety of scuba diving activities. This program is mostly ideal for people who are looking to take on dive center manager roles.
Where we train
Unless otherwise arranged or specified, all course training will be conducted at the house reef of Club Kontiki Resort, Mactan, Cebu.

How to proceed

Sign up for the course and get your Rescue and EFR participant eLearning material, Divemaster, IDC and EFR Instructor Crew-Paks which includes other reference materials, like the PADI Instructor Manual and The Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving, slates, etc, that you’ll need during the course.

Also consider taking Dive Theory Online, another PADI eLearning® program, that takes you step-by-step through dive physics, physiology, skills, equipment and environment, plus a Recreational Dive Planner (RDP) review.

By successfully completing Dive Theory Online, you can get credit for half of the Divemaster Final Exam. We can explain how this works when you meet to schedule knowledge review sessions along with your waters kills exercises, workshops and practical assessments. What is included
This flexible training package takes an advanced open water diver to Instructor level in 30 days! Designed as intensive training program, this helps those who are looking at switching career to professional scuba diving with a minimal expense in relatively shorter time.

Note: The IDC is best started during our regular IDC schedules as they are designed in conjunction with the scheduled IE in Mactan, Cebu. While a special IDC may be started outside of the regular schedule, you may have to travel somewhere for our IE or wait for the next scheduled IE in Mactan, Cebu.

Prerequsites
Advanced Open Water Divers who are at least 18 years old may enroll in the this program, provided that you have;

  • A medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months;
  • At least 40 logged dives to begin the course and 100 dives to qualify for the PADI Instructor Exam (IE);
  • Open Water Diver & Advanced Open Water Diver. Note that qualifying certifications from other diver training organization may apply. Ask us about it.

Application Fees payable to PADI in AUD
These are schedule of 2025 application fees payable to PADI. These are fees independent of the courses that you pay for us;

  • Divemaster Application – 275 AUD
  • Instructor Exam (IE) 1,190 AUD
  • Dive Instructor Application – 350 AUD
  • EFR Instructor Application – 242 AUD
  • Specialty Instructor Application (Per Specialty Area) – 139 AUD
